This study analyzes the World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations on agriculture. The study contains a description of the progress and problems of the negotiations in the period 2000-2002. Also, the study is focused on the issues: subsidies and competition for exports, market opening and internal support. The paper provides an analysis of the markets of transition economies and discusses about food safety. The study also presents the failure of the Cancun conference.
